National holidays in July and August have been altered due to the Tokyo Olympics 2020. Some of you might be surprised to find out there was a four-day weekend in July. In August, Mountain Day moved from August 11 to Sunday, August 8, so Monday, August 9 will be a substitute holiday.

3) Foreign Student Lecture Series “My Hometown and Fukuoka”
Due to the extension of the state of emergency, this lecture will be organized on the new date.
This is a monthly lecture series in which a foreign student residing and studying in Fukuoka is invited to share information about his/her hometown and culture. Through this series, we can learn about the student’s lifestyle, goals while in Fukuoka and vision for the future.
No lecture in August. Next lecture will be on Sep. 21.

Fukuoka City sent out COVID-19 vaccination tickets to registered Fukuoka City residents on June 30. 2) Telephone Counseling in English on COVID-19 by Clinical Psychologist
A clinical psychologist specializing in mental health issues associated with infectious diseases is available for telephone counseling for COVID-19 patients and their families. Counseling can remain anonymous and is totally confidential. The counselling service is free of charge, but you need to pay your own telephone charge.

The seating capacity is limited to 120 to comply with social distancing rules in response to COVID-19. Members of the audience must wear masks at all times in the hall.

The 58th Fukuoka Citizen’s Art Festival Opening Event: Japanese Traditional Art Performance × Circus “Senkohanabi”
Senkohanabi, sparklers are a traditional culture started 400 years ago. Artists from both a contemporary circus and Japanese traditional art will show the spirit of “Senkohanabi” with nonverbal direction on the stage. This performance was well received as an opening event in 2018 and 2019. In response to the desire for a replay, powered up “Senkohanabi” is coming back!

福岡県留学生サポートセンター運営協議会 アルバイト紹介の対象者を広げました
福岡県留学生サポートセンターでは、厚生労働大臣より許可を受けて無料職業紹介事業を行っています。新型コロナウィルス感染症の影響により、従来のアルバイトを離職せざるを得ず、今後の生活に不安を持つ県内留学生が増えています。そこで、アルバイト紹介の対象者を従来の県内の大学院、大学、短期大学、高等専門学校の留学生のみから、日本語学校と専修学校の留学生も加えて紹介しています。

8) 福岡県外国人材受入企業講習会
平成31年4月の改正入管法の施行等、外国人材受入れに係る制度の整備に伴い、本県でも外国人材の受入れを希望する企業の増加が見込まれます。一方、外国人材の受入れに際しては、在留資格や労働関係法令等、事業主には理解・遵守すべき多くの法令があります。そのため、県では、外国人労働者が在留資格の範囲内でその能力を十分に発揮し適正に就労できるように、県内企業を対象に、窓口での相談対応や、講習会を実施します。ご利用はすべて無料ですので、ぜひご利用ください。

ADRとは「Alternative Dispute Resolution」の略で、「裁判外紛争解決手続」を意味します。外国人の労働環境、職場環境など、身の回りで起こる様々なトラブルについて、裁判ではなく、公正な第三者が関与しながら、当事者同士が対話し、お互いに納得できる解決策を一緒に考えていく「対話促進型」の手続きです。調停は日本語で実施します。
