Hakata Gion Yamakasa is a well-known traditional event in Hakata held in July. Decorated floats are shown at twelve sites in Fukuoka City. Floats that can be seen near the Fukuoka City International Center are at Kushida Shrine, Kawabata Shotengai Shopping Arcade, Hakata Riverain, and Canal City Hakata. Enjoy magnificently decorated floats in and around the Hakata area.

3) Foreign Student Lecture Series “My Hometown and Fukuoka”
Due to the extension of the state of emergency, this lecture will be organized on the new date.
This is a monthly lecture series in which a foreign student residing and studying in Fukuoka is invited to share information about his/her hometown and culture. Through this series, we can learn about the student’s lifestyle, goals while in Fukuoka and vision for the future.
This will be a one-hour lecture session with 10-min. Q&A time as for the preventive measures against the spread of COVID-19.

2) Telephone Counseling in English on COVID-19 by Clinical Psychologist
A clinical psychologist specializing in mental health issues associated with infectious diseases is available for telephone counseling for COVID-19 patients and their families. Counseling can remain anonymous and is totally confidential. The counselling service is free of charge, but you need to pay your own telephone charge.

3) Cine-la Information
The seating capacity is limited to 120 to comply with social distancing rules in response to COVID-19. Members of the audience must wear masks at all times in the hall.
“Iranian Film Masterpieces”
As a kick-off event to commemorate the inauguration of the “Make Iranian Cinema a Treasure of Fukuoka” Project, Cine-la will show the masterpieces of Iranian films from its archives. All films are subtitled in Japanese and English.

The 58th Fukuoka Citizen’s Art Festival Opening Event: Japanese Traditional Art Performance × Circus “Senkohanabi”
Senkohanabi, sparklers are a traditional culture started 400 years ago. Artists from both a contemporary circus and Japanese traditional art will show the spirit of “Senkohanabi” with nonverbal direction on the stage. This performance was well received as an opening event in 2018 and 2019. In response to the desire for a replay, powered up “Senkohanabi” is coming back!

第58回福岡市民芸術祭オープニングイベント 日本伝統芸能×サーカス「線香花火」
400年続く日本の伝統文化「線香花火」。儚く美しいその世界観を「現代サーカス」と「日本伝統芸能」のアーティストがセリフのない“ノンバーバル”演出で舞台化に挑戦し、第55回、第56回の同公演にて大反響を巻き起こしました。再演を望む声にお応えし、今年も上演が決定！さらにパワーアップした九州発の舞台をどうぞお楽しみに！

福岡県留学生サポートセンター運営協議会 アルバイト紹介の対象者を広げました
福岡県留学生サポートセンターでは、厚生労働大臣より許可を受けて無料職業紹介事業を行っています。新型コロナウィルス感染症の影響により、従来のアルバイトを離職せざるを得ず、今後の生活に不安を持つ県内留学生が増えています。そこで、アルバイト紹介の対象者を従来の県内の大学院、大学、短期大学、高等専門学校の留学生のみから、日本語学校と専修学校の留学生も加えて紹介しています。

このセンターは、外国人留学生や仕事を探している外国人のみなさまと、外国人の雇用を考えている企業のみなさまを支援する、国の機関（ハローワーク）です。英語、中国語の通訳がいる時間帯もあります。センターに来るときは在留カードをもってきてください。
