July 25, 2024
On July 25, we held an exchange meeting for the 19 newly selected scholarship students at Fukuoka City International Center.
Following a greeting from the Executive Director, two former scholarship students who had studied abroad shared their advice and encouragement with the current scholarship recipients, discussing “what went well during their study abroad and what they wish they had done differently.”
In the latter part of the event, after easing the tension with an icebreaker game, we conducted a group discussion between international students studying in Fukuoka and Japanese university students who will be studying abroad. They discussed topics such as “the purpose of studying abroad and future dreams” and “challenges faced during studying abroad and ways to overcome them.” Following the group discussion, there was a free networking session where participants deepened their connections while enjoying tea and juice.
