Overview

Foreign Student and Business Exchange Salon is an exchange meeting for foreign students who wish to find a job in Fukuoka or Japan, and local businesses which are interested in employing international students as a global human resources.

The goal of the salon is to deepen the mutual understanding of each other, and encourage the local businesses to recruit more international students.

Background

Many Japanese businesses employ foreign students to help in their overseas-related projects.

This includes many businesses in Fukuoka. However, due to the relative lack of recruitment information available online from these companies, perhaps some international students give up on their hopes of finding a job in Fukuoka or in Japan.

Japan sees increase in number of international students, but since there isn’t much chance for the companies to interact with international students, many companies still hesitate to recruit international students.

Content

Exchange opinions, and have a casual conversation in Japanese.

Point① Allow international students, in casual clothing, to meet and converse with people from interested companies, and to deepen mutual understanding in the process.

Point② Unlike job interviews, the Salon is not held for the sole purpose of facilitating recruitment.
